Digital Mining and Advanced Data Analytics – Austmine webinar

Digital Mining and Advanced Data Analytics – Austmine webinar

Pulse Mining’s Ashley Bosworth will be on the expert panel for Austmine’s webinar on Digital Mining and Advanced Data Analytics next Tuesday, 4th October, 2016.

Austmine’s upcoming Digital Mining and Advanced Data Analytics webinar will delve into strategic utilisation and applications of data in the mining industry.

Whilst big data is currently a popular buzz term in the mining industry, miners and METS alike are agreed that the data is only as valuable as the actions taken from it. This session will focus on taking strategic decisions from data collected, managing the significant volumes being acquired and the wider concept of operating a digital mine.

The expert speaker panel consists of:

  • Ashley Bosworth, Director – Analytics & Innovation, Pulse Mining Systems
  • Pravin Bechar, Chief Strategy Officer, OTOC Australia
  • Eric Nettleton, General Manager – Mining, Oil & Gas, Telstra

Ashley will speak on:
Real-time Tactical Analytics – a results-based approach to analytics for realists

There is proven potential for productivity gains through working at an operational and tactical level with data puddles/pools rather than lakes and ‘big data’. This approach can deliver real-time and meaningful data visualisations that are linked to, and impact, the bigger business picture as they are tied to targeted industry KPI’s. Success, however, is dependent on close collaboration between miners and METS throughout the application development phase.

With a background as a Mechanical Engineer and more than twenty years’ involvement in the Mining and Construction Industries, Ashley has developed a deep understanding of client needs and what it takes to deliver great results. Working as an Application Architect, Software Development Lead and UX/UI specialist for much of this time, his focus had been on putting Business Intelligence and Analytics into the hands of those who need it.

Webinar begins: 4 Oct 2016 12:30 PM (AEDT)   Ends: 4 Oct 2016 1:30 PM (AEDT)
