Centennial Coal transforms performance with Pulse Analytics

The video of Pulse Analytics at Centennial Coal (in two versions) has been watched more than 1,000 times. Pulse Analytics is now used not just in mining but other industries like manufacturing and transport.

The transformation of Centennial Coal from a former government-owned facility to a high-performance, extremely efficient coal production and marketing enterprise has brought acclaim to the company’s management and workforce. Key to Centennial’s success has been the Pulse ERP and recent deployment of Pulse Analytics to empower decision-making at all levels with real-time KPI data visualisations from sources including the ERP and machine sensors.

Pulse Analytics at Centennial CoalTo showcase the transformational power of Pulse Analytics in coal mining operations, as an example, Pulse produced a case-study video on-site at Centennial’s Springvale coal mine, near Lithgow NSW.

Featuring interviews with managers from executive-level on the surface to the frontline at the coalface, miners are seen comparing their team’s latest results on TV screens in the muster room, and the easy-to-read visualisations of KPIs are central to meetings where decisions are made on totally up-to-date and accurate information.

Centennial Coal was instrumental to the development of Pulse Analytics for mining, collaborating with Pulse in the refinement of several mining-specific solutions within the Pulse Analytics suite of more than 20 apps.

Many of the apps within the Pulse Analytics suite are quickly and easily configured to transform performance in manufacturing, power generation, and all kinds of heavy industry where data from any number of different sources needs to be captured, integrated, analysed, and visualised.
